I was surprised to read the following article about Mother teresa in L’Orient le jour: Go ahead and read it and give your opinion:

Quite a while ago that I talked about my hamsters. In fact Hummy is now alone since Goofy was also put in a foster home after his son died. Yesterday night I gave her a bath and here she is exploring and curious as always.

hummy2.jpg here she is, next to her food and wanting to open it. She suffers so much from the heat, just as we all do :)

Today we took our kids for the second time to the pool. All went well, they ate a lot and enjoyed it so much. Beside some transportations (bus) problems, all was fine. Food and ice cream and seven-up and water and sun…

I almost can’t believe that a year ago the war stopped on August 14, yesterday we celebrated the assumption of our Lady with a huge crowd of people at the Sanctuary of Harissa. Today our kids went to the mountains and enjoyed the pure air, they  ran in the grass, played and danced a lot.

We’re so happy to be able to take our kids during the summer day camp to a private swimming pool, a lady member offers us. So this morning we went swimming with 50 kids. They so enjoyed it. As for me I consider it a very big responsibility and the moment we got home, I relaxed. thank God nothing happened, coz most of the kids (3-14 years) can’t swim. Many children do not have the opportunity to go swimming, so this was a treat. We then had lunch and came back with the 2 buses.

It has been ages since I wrote something on my blog. The very simple reason is that we’ve been all so busy with the summer day camp preparations. The camp logistics and the registration, the talking with working mothers, looking to put their children somewhere, finding youth leaders and training them. A psychologist and a trained youth worker helped them sorting out many ideas and suggestions.

Peter  Peter is one of the 55 kids enrolled in the summer day camp of August @ Ayadina. We started yesterday and it’s quite an adventure. 4 groups with 12 youth leaders animate the day. The program includes: Homework, educational games, drama, drawing, puppets and much more. Of course a hot meal and snack are offered. The whole program required lots of preparations. But apparently the kids AND mothers are happy and that’s our aim.
