It has been ages since I wrote something on my blog. The very simple reason is that we’ve been all so busy with the summer day camp preparations. The camp logistics and the registration, the talking with working mothers, looking to put their children somewhere, finding youth leaders and training them. A psychologist and a trained youth worker helped them sorting out many ideas and suggestions.
Peter is one of the 55 kids enrolled in the summer day camp of August @ Ayadina. We started yesterday and it’s quite an adventure. 4 groups with 12 youth leaders animate the day. The program includes: Homework, educational games, drama, drawing, puppets and much more. Of course a hot meal and snack are offered. The whole program required lots of preparations. But apparently the kids AND mothers are happy and that’s our aim.
